Storm at Sandsend

A stormy day in May at Sandsend on the north-east coast of England. The wind was blowing on-shore and the tide was high, so that big waves were crashing into the sea wall and the spray was being blown over the road to the houses opposite. I took up a safe and reasonably sheltered position in the car park and took a large number of shots trying to catch the right moment with the best wave. There was a lot of salt spray around and I needed to clean the camera and lenses properly afterwards.
